For many years Liz Vincent has collected stories from local residents about paranormal activities within their homes and workplaces. Our experienced tour guides were personally trained by Liz and will share these tales of Macarthur's scariest residents and haunted hideaways on our tours.

At any of the supper tours you will have an opportunity to browse through a display of paranormal activity photos taken on previous tours, as well as read up on some ghostly accounts of previous tours and have the chance to record your observations and experiences.

Below is a list of ghost tours currently available.

Lower Picton Tour plus Special Investigation. The Upper Picton Cemetery is NOT included on this tour due to time constraints.

The tour will start off with a walk around Lower Picton, then a visit to the Redbank Range Tunnel. Following this at about 10.15pm we will go to the very haunted old Antill family home, built 1863, now the Antill Park Golf Club. By this time normal patrons should have left the club and we will have it to ourselves.

Supper will be offered first, then you will be allowed full access to the building and the grounds to investigate. You can bring any sort of equipment with you for use in the house. In the past when we have had access, participants have had a number of paranormal experiences. Some of these are in the experiences page on the website. I can tell you there's one room upstairs that doesn't like me and I have had the door slammed in my face twice. A definite no-go for me now. On this tour on the 19th June 2009 a group of mediums assisted the spirit of a little girl cross over but her grandfather is still there and isn't happy!

The tour will start at 8.00pm meeting at the gazebo in the Davison Lane carpark behind the Picton Hotel. Tickets cost $46 which includes tour, supper with tea and coffee and access to the house. Tickets must be pre-booked and pre-paid. Discounts offered for teens.

This tour first ran on Friday 13/3/09 and was offered initially only to those on the mailing list. It booked out so quickly there were no spots available to the general public so we ran another on 22nd May and it also booked out.

On this tour, walk the streets of Lower Picton hearing about the ghosts of Picton past. This tour will take you past many haunted sites and where you will learn about their ghostly occupants. And like many before you, may even see or hear them.

As you view homes and buildings on the walk, the guide gives a very brief history of each site, relates the paranormal activity and tells the odd gory story to connect to a haunting.

See where the baker cut his throat, the shopkeeper hanged herself and where young Andrew Knox shot himself dead.

Stories are told of paranormal experiences in days gone by and on previous tours.

Then it's up the hill to the Redbank Range Tunnel, aka The Mushroom Tunnel. It's also a little darker. It's here the highlight of the evening occurs when participants are taken to an historic, disused railway tunnel and must be brave enough to stand in the dark to watch and wait.

This notice will be changed immediately once full access to the tunnel is again made available. Participants own transport is needed from Lower Picton to the Tunnel and Cemetery.

The Hot Spot Tour has now been changed and is designed for people who wish to spend more time at some of the really haunted spots with others seriously interested in the paranormal. Participants SHOULD have already done the Lower Picton Tour.

On this night we will go to four places. We will have access to the Wollondilly Shire Hall, one of our most haunted buildings, then onto the Redbank Range Tunnel, the Upper Picton Cemetery and finish up at the Stonequarry Viaduct.

Participants travel in their own vehicles. Your tour guide for this tour will be psychic Dannie.

Videos, photo cameras plus other equipment designed to pick up paranormal activity okay on this tour only.

The Kids Tour is a shortened not so scary version of the Lower Picton Tour but all walking. The tour takes about one and a half hours. All kids with the party will receive a glow stick!

About 7ks west of Picton lies "Mowbray Park", an imposing colonial home set high on a hill at the junctions of the roads to Picton, Thirlmere, The Oaks and Oakdale. It was built in 1884 and has been a private home, a hospital for shell-shocked soldiers after WW1 and a Dr Barnardos Home for children.

It is now owned by Dr Joseph and Margaret Couch and run as a farm stay, retreat and riding holiday farm.

There are a number of buildings on the property and many stories of paranormal activity have been reported by guests and staff.

We had several successful tours there over the last couple of years.

Participants will have access to buildings not occupied by paying guests or family. Participants will be given a tour of the property hearing tales of hauntings followed by supper at 9.30pm. Following this, you are free to explore.

Mowbray Park offers bed and breakfast for $105 per person.

BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL and all tickets must be paid in full at time of booking. Payment methods are as follows:

A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $10.00 per ticket must be made at time of booking for all group bookings for 5 or more persons. Bookings will not be taken until a deposit is paid. Tickets must then be paid for in full as soon as possible and at least 2 weeks prior to the tour, 4 weeks for coach tours.

If a tour is cancelled a full refund will be given without penalty.

Special food requirements must be advised at time of booking.

Gift Vouchers are available for all tours.

No refunds will be given if a participant cancels a booking. If booking is cancelled outside 14 days of the tour date participants may transfer to another date.

Participants must wear walking shoes. ABSOLUTELY NO HIGH HEELS due to part of the walk being on uneven ground. All participants will need a torch and an umbrella (in case of rain).

ABSOLUTELY NO VIDEOING IS PERMITTED ON ANY TOUR

For the safety and comfort of all participants any persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol WILL NOT be permitted on any tour.

If any participant at any time during the tour exhibits disruptive or anti-social behaviour they will be asked to leave the tour. If any person refuses when asked, the police will be called. No refund will be given.
